Cell for selective measure of reducing substances, low sample consumption,
Mod.605
Sensors for reducing substances (metabisulfites, sulphites, sulpur dioxide...) in aqueous solutions with high selectivity, sensitivity, accuracy and reliability.
The sensor is made of a plexiglas chamber that houses the measuring electrode, the counterelectrode and the system for automatic sample flowrate adjustment.
The electrodes are directly immersed into the sample that flows in the chamber with a constant flowrate, controlled by the cell itself; the electrodes are kept clean and active by the movement of the sample itself.
The polarization voltage impressed across measuring electrode and counterelectrode makes the cell selective to different reducing substances.
The cell is absolutely free of unwanted effects like corrosion of the electrodes: noises due to these phenomena are so forth completely avoided even in critical applications like sea water measurements.
The cell is designed to be wall mounted through two screws diam.5 x 50mm; process connections are: 1/4” GAS F for sample inlet and 3/4” GAS F for sample drain.
Measuring range: 0-2000 ppb, 0-10 ppm
The special hydraulic design inside the cell assures high precision of the measure by keeping constant the flowrate of the sample inside the cell with no regard to the process sample flowrate that can vary inside the limits 15 to 200 l/h.
Max. salt concentration in the sample: 100 g/l of chlorides (Cl-)
Max. limit for sample hardness is 10°f; above this limit frequent cell clenaing may be required.
We highly recommend the installation of a filter able to prevent suspended particles with a diameter higher than 0,7 – 0,8 mm from entering the measuring cell.
These selective cells are used for the measure and control of many reducing substances, such as metabisulphites (or metabisulfites, S2O5=), sulphur dioxide and sulphites (or sulfites, SO3=) in various applications, as in fruit juice processing, in wine (oenology),in IV range products processing, in fruit and vegetables disinfection and processing, in textile industry, in tanneries, in drinking water plants
