PID controller for oxidizing substances control Mod.uPxxR
Microprocessor based PID controller, fully programmable, suitable for panel mounting (IP54 protection degree) and outdoor installation (IP65 housing). Instrument configuration is easily performed via display and keyboard and calibration is automatic.
Measure and temperature are indicated on a 5 digit red LED display.
The electronic unit supplies to the polarization voltage required to make it selective to the specific oxidising substance to be measured.
Mod.uP can be directly connected to the sensor of chlorine, chlorine dioxide, chlorites, ozone, peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, bromine, permanganate and to the pertinent temperature sensing element.
The measure is compensated for temperature variations, according to dedicated algorithms specific for each parameter and displayed in engineering units. Temperature compensated value is used in the PID algorithm. The PID controller is available either with analogic control output (4-20 mA or 0-10V, galvanically isolated) or with digital control output (conatct output); in this versione the 4-20 mA (or 0-10 V) output is available for temperature compensated measure retransmission.
The instrument provides 4 digital outputs that can be configured as NC or NO via software and can be programmed as low alarm, high alarm, alarm with hysteresis or windows alarm.
The 4 digital outputs are from relays. If the control output is from relay R1 is used for control action.
Two digital inputs are available, for digital hold of the measure, and for the connection to an external flowswitch (output freezing in absence of sample flow into the cell).
The instrument is optionally available with cleaning sequence included: in this version it can drive the chemical cleaning of the sensor through a specific algorithm, with programmable timers, driving the detergent pump through R4 relay.
Measuring ranges are:
low concentrations: 0-2000 ppb; 0-10 ppm. High concentrations: 10-2000 ppm
In the version with contact output control action the analog output can be freely associated to any interval inside the measuring range.
Power supply: 24 Vdc, 24 Vac, 115 Vac, 230 Vac, ±10%, 50/60 Hz, max.consumption: 3.3 VA
Some of the typical use of these selective instruments: measure and control of chlorine, chlorine dioxide, chlorites, ozone, peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, bromine for the following applications:
dosage of disinfectant in drinking water,
measure and control of the disinfectant applied in waste water
control of disinfection in the in IV range products preparation
determination of chlorine or other oxidizing substance in sea water
analysis of the oxidizing agent (e.g. peracetic acid, chlorine dioxide, chlorine etc.) in fruit and vegetables disinfection and processing
measure of chlorine in swimming pool water
