Analyser of release agents for pressure die-casting, 603 + uP
The analyser is composed of a Mod.603 measuring cell and a Mod.uP electronic unit, and has been designed for measure and control of the various release agents used in die-casting.
The 603 cell is made of a PP chamber that houses the measuring electrode, the counterelectrode and the reference electrode, the optional temperature sensor, the system for automatic sample flowrate adjustment and a flowswitch for the detection of sample absence.
The electrodes are directly immersed into the sample that flows in the chamber with a constant flowrate, controlled by the cell itself; the electrodes are kept clean and active by the movement of the sample itself.
The selection of the polarization voltage impressed across measuring electrode and counterelectrode and of the amplification of the signal generated by the electrodes makes the cell selective to the different release agents in their variuos concentrations of use.
Mod.uP is a microprocessor based instruments, fully programmable, suitable for panel mounting and outdoor installation; it is directly connected to the 603 cell and to the pertinent temperature sensing element if present. The measure is compensated for temperature variations, according to dedicated algorithms specific for each application, displayed in engineering units and retransmitted on a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V analog output, galvanically isolated, that can be freely associated to any interval inside the measuring range.
The instrument provides 4 digital outputs tha can be configured as NC or NO via software and can be programmed as low alarm, high alarm, alarm with hysteresis or windows alarm.
The 4 digital outputs are from relays.
Two digital inputs are available, for digital hold of the measure, and for the connection to an external flowswitch (output freezing in absence of sample flow into the cell).
Measuring ranges: 0-100 % of release agent, ± 5% f.s. accuracy
The analog output can be freely associated to any interval inside the 0-100 % of measuring range.

Sample flowrate: the special hydraulic design inside the cell allows to assure measure accuracy keeping the flowrate inside the chamber of the electrodes constant with no regard to sample flowrate variations at the inlet of the cell (sample flowrate adjustment system): if this system is enabled there is no need for adjusting the flowrate that enters the cell (that must however be higher than 60 l/h). On the other hand if the sample flowrate adjusting system is disabled the sample flowrate to the cell must either be higher than 280 l/h or must be fixed to a very constant value (inside the limits 60 to 280 l/h).

Max. salt concentration in the sample: in low concentration measures: 100 g/l of chlorides (Cl-)
Max. limit for sample hardness is 10°f; above this limit frequent cell clenaing may be required.
